Thomas Jensen is a global CEO, board chair, and keynote speaker with 25+ years leading international technology businesses through disruption, transformation, and sustained growth – setting direction where AI, technology, regulation, geopolitics, and critical infrastructure meet. He currently chairs the Board of Pernexus Systems and previously served as President & CEO of Milestone Systems – a world-leading video technology software company with ~€300M in revenue – where he doubled revenue in four years while preserving EBIT margin, grew market share from 10% to 13.4%, completed four acquisitions, and launched Project Hafnia with NVIDIA as the world's first responsible AI model training platform for Visual Language Models.
Prior to Milestone, Thomas served as Executive Vice President at Bechtle AG – Europe's largest IT provider – with P&L responsibility for eight countries across Europe. Earlier, during five years based in Silicon Valley, he held global Vice President roles at HP Inc. and Hewlett-Packard, where his most defining contribution was architecting the channel sales strategy for the historic split of HP into two NYSE-listed companies, delivering Day 1 readiness with no major inhibitors.
He drives ambitious change with openness and decency – at Milestone, employee engagement and attrition stayed better than industry benchmark throughout significant transformation. A trusted advisor to EU, UK, and Danish policymakers on AI legislation and technology governance, and a vocal thought leader on AI in the boardroom – closing the competence gap boards need to oversee AI-driven strategy and risk. He holds a M.Sc. in International Business Economics from Aalborg University and attended the Executive Board Programme at INSEAD.

01
Closing the Competence Gap at the Top
Boards are being asked to oversee AI-driven strategy and risk – yet most lack the competence to do so. Drawing on hands-on experience building one of the world's first responsible AI model training platforms – Project Hafnia with NVIDIA – and advising EU, UK, and Danish policymakers on AI legislation, this session challenges leaders to move beyond the hype and take ownership of AI governance, risk oversight, and the ethics of what they deploy – and what they don't. A call to close the competence gap at the very top.
02
Building Businesses That Endure
Addressing the need for pragmatism and execution in a world of trade friction, shifting alliances, and sovereign digital strategies – where data lives matters as much as what it contains. From navigating business-critical and critical infrastructure environments to steering organisations through conflicting regulatory regimes across Europe, the US, and the Middle East, this session examines what it takes to build commercially resilient businesses fit for a fragmented world – and stay relevant as the rules keep changing.
03
